A dedicated mother, creative artist, passionate author, and a community builder with a heart for advocacy.
Since joining Berklee's Liberal Arts and Sciences Department in 2020, Aminah has been inspiring students through courses on African American Women’s History and Hip-Hop History and Context. Her research spans a rich tapestry of fields including African American and African diaspora studies, Cabo Verdean studies, and the critical roles of education and hip-hop in societal change.
